My OC "The Witch" [link] ... poor girl, she has to suffer so much. In my story [link] she gets burned at the stake, and now she gets drawn by me, wonder which is the more cruel fate

Ballpoint Pen on simple printing paper. Around 60 minutes of work. I did not draw it out of nothing, i used this wonderful artwork [link] as reference and added some things to make it fit my OC (the hair she was so proud of has been cut short, freckles in the face, her sackcloth robe is dirty and torn, a W burned into her skin, her body is coverd with bruises, cuts and others marks of torture. She has a rope at her neck and chains around her body to hold her to the stake)

It is not very good, but also not so bad that you want to tear your eyeball out (i hope). After all it is more or less my first time drawing something ...

I first wanted to draw the moments before the pyre is lit, but when i reached her feet i ruined the image. I thought it was hard to draw a face and a human shape, but then came the feet ... I wanted to press the Undo Button, but Real Life does not have one ... as I used a ballpoint also no eraser would help. All I could do was to hide her feets. So i added the flames, smoke and sparks to hide her legs and feets. Of course now her facial expression (i wanted it to be sad, the thing around her eyes should be tears) did not fit 100% as she is screaming at that time in the story, and her she tries desperatly to escape the flames and did not just stand still ...


Things to improve
- The rope around her neck looks weird
- Her nose looks horrible
- Here eyes are too low and also look weird ... her right one is also swollen ... but that may be a sign of the torture even if not intended.
- Her lips seem to smile
- Her boobs are way too big
- The W did not look like burned skin. It should not be that black and hard.
- The chains are to thin and to "edged"
- The fire looks to "leveld" ... all flames on the same height, it is not wild (but if higher it would hide her, a vicious cycle), it is not affecting her (tried to make the robe a bit scorched at the lower hem)
